Our Vision and Purpose
From the coal face to the digital frontier, my journey in the electrical industry has spanned more than four decades. I began as an apprentice in the coal mines, progressed to serving as an SAP within a DNO, and later spent 21 years as a Managing Director. Over that time, I’ve seen the world’s reliance on electricity grow rapidly and with it, the escalating cost of downtime. Every single minute of a power failure impacts safety, operations, and the bottom line. That reality is what led me to spend the last two years developing Power SOS.
This app effectively bridges the gap between High-Voltage emergency providers and end users. Through a strong UK-wide, multi-market collaboration, we ensure all trusted local responders are rapidly and efficiently mobilised when incidents occur. While emergency response is our foundation, we are continuously expanding beyond reaction into compliance, and predictive/preventative maintenance.

Prior to establishing Power SOS, Steve Holmes dedicated several decades to assisting national organisations. However, with technological advancements, it became viable to truly innovate and address persistent emergency call-out delays. Recognising this need, Steve initiated the development of Power SOS by recruiting top talent and seasoned professionals to transform the industry.
